The Empowerment for Life (E4L) programme seeks to support “Civil society groups and organisations in Northern Region to actively drive and influence social, economic, and political development initiatives and pursue their interests and rights”, as it envisions “a democratic and just Ghana where all citizens have influence on political processes and where resources are distributed equally.” The programme presents a departure of Ghana Friends in Denmark’s cooperation with individual partners implementing separate projects to all partners cooperating on one programme. Youth Empowerment for Life technically handles the youth development component whilst GDCA takes care of education, food security and governance components.
